Morning has arrived, but it has not – at least so far – brought the glorious resurrection to ross’ spirits that I was hoping. He is pretty sore, and has for the first time mentioned a temptation to quit the race early. He doesn’t mean it.. Though he thinks he does. But he is now full of the glory that is a bacon and egg roll, so I reckon that once the grease kicks in, his spirits will perk up again.

I think one of his big issues at the moment is loneliness. For most of the last few hours, Ross has been out there on his own, and that’s a pretty exhausting place to be. I am hoping this lap he can find a friendly face to keep him company and get him over this hump.
